What makes the Frye Art Museum special?
Through live figure sketching, I wanted to capture the dynamic rhythm I saw: how the Frye's Salon gallery is not just defined by the paintings on its walls but also by the people who move through it. In this piece, figures blend into ornate frames to call back to the timelessness of the art and history of the salon while grounding it in present conversations.
To me, the Frye is not static; it is shaped by those who gather, explore, and connect—creating a living, breathing experience of art and community.
